FAQs

FAQs

With Protergia Picasso, Protergia is reshaping the electricity market, giving consumers complete control over their budget by paying a fixed monthly amount for their electricity bill—for a full year.
It redefines everything we knew until now by moving away from per-kilowatt-hour billing and introducing the concept of a flat monthly bill.

We simplify energy and give true meaning to "stability" in a way that’s easy for everyone to understand.

As the ultimate fixed-rate electricity solution, the plan belongs to the blue / fixed-rate tariff category.

  • Residential customers can choose from 9 different plans, based on their energy needs, with annual consumption ranging from 1,325 kWh (suitable for a small holiday home) up to 20,200 kWh.
  • Business customers can choose from 9 plans, covering everything from a small office's consumption up to the energy needs of a café.

The plans include all supply and regulated charges (e.g., charges from IPTO and HEDNO), covering all energy-related costs on your bill. Prices start at €29.99/month for residential connections.

It’s simple. The customer checks how many kilowatt-hours they consumed in the previous year and selects the plan that matches their needs. Our sales team, with the help of an online tool, is always available to guide each customer in choosing the most suitable plan based on their energy profile.

Each month, customers receive a fixed monthly bill. Regardless of any fluctuations in their consumption, they will consistently pay the price of the Picasso package they have selected. Finally, on the 12th bill of the year, once we receive the consumption data from DEDDIE (the Greek electricity distribution operator), a final settlement will be made to either charge or credit any difference.

With Protergia Picasso, you pay the same bill every month. However, to make sure your consumption is not significantly higher or lower than the package you have selected—and to avoid a credit or a large settlement at the end of your contract—we offer you the Picasso Wallet, a monitoring tool available in the Protergia App.
Through a simple chart, you can compare your actual consumption (based on HEDNO metering data) and/or the forecast of your monthly consumption with the projected monthly consumption of your chosen package. This way, you can easily see if the plan you selected is right for you. If not, you can call Protergia and switch to a smaller or larger Picasso plan.

We do not expect customers to calculate their annual consumption with absolute precision. For this reason, if you exceed the agreed annual consumption of your chosen plan by up to 5%, Protergia will cover the excess amount at no extra cost.
During the settlement process, we check if there is a deviation between your actual consumption and the consumption of your Picasso plan. If there is excess consumption, a settlement is carried out for the excess amount. Specifically, Supply Charges for Excess Quantity and Regulated Charges for Excess Quantity are calculated and billed.

To help you compare your actual consumption (based on HEDNO metering data) and/or the forecast of your monthly consumption with the projected monthly consumption of your chosen package, Protergia offers the Picasso Wallet in the Protergia app.

When we receive the HEDNO readings at the end of your contract, we will charge you less by crediting the amount to your next bill.
Specifically, if there is Remaining Consumption during the settlement period, a settlement is carried out for the remaining amount, where Supply Charges for Remaining Quantity and Regulated Charges for Remaining Quantity are credited.

To help you compare your actual consumption (based on HEDNO metering data) and/or the forecast of your monthly consumption with the projected monthly consumption of your chosen package, Protergia offers the Picasso Wallet in the Protergia app.

At Protergia, we understand that household needs can change. Therefore, you can contact us and together we can choose a larger or smaller Picasso plan that better fits your new situation. We will make sure you switch to the new plan starting the very next month.

Customers don’t need to worry—we handle everything. Protergia will continue calculating and paying the appropriate amounts to the grid operators as always.

Charges to municipalities (e.g., municipal fees and taxes) are not related to energy, are usually stable, and do not vary with electricity consumption. That’s why we’ve left them out—customers will be billed for them as with any regular energy plan, and we will forward these charges to the respective municipality and to ERT.

The plan is available to residential customers and business customers with an E1 tariff up to 25kVA. We are also considering offering it in the future to special category customers such as KOT/POT (Social Residential Tariff/Multiple Child Family Tariff), as well as to customers with net billing or net metering systems.

Yes! Customers can switch to a Picasso plan without any early termination penalty.

While we don’t see why anyone would want to leave the most transparent and innovative plan in the market—yes, early termination is possible. It will be subject to a proportional early termination fee and a final settlement.

If, during the Settlement of Excess Consumption, a debit balance arises, we offer you the option to pay it off in up to 12 equal monthly installments. Additionally, the Customer will have the right to settle the relevant amount with a timely lump-sum payment, in which case they will be entitled to a Lump-Sum Settlement Discount, which will be calculated in the immediately following bill.
The Lump-Sum Settlement Discount amounts to €0.070/kWh and is applied to the Fixed Unit Supply Price (€0.169/kWh) in the following two cases:
If, during the Settlement, a debit amount arises and the Customer chooses to pay it off in a timely lump sum; or
If, during the Settlement, a credit amount arises.

Charges

VAT of 6% is not included in the above charges.
The plan applies to residential customers.
A 12-month contract applies.
