FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Dynamic tariffs are variable electricity tariffs where the final supply price changes every hour, and prices are announced the day before. Charges are directly linked to fluctuations in the wholesale electricity market and adjust according to the Reference Price. The hourly price per kWh can change daily and even within the day, especially during periods of high demand. In simple terms, the energy prices you pay follow market supply and demand - low demand means lower prices, and high demand means higher prices.

Dynamic Tariff is a modern and innovative approach to energy management, adapting prices in real time based on demand, supply, and other factors. Its aim is to enhance transparency, offer savings opportunities, and contribute to a sustainable and cost-effective energy future.

The Dynamic Tariff is available for businesses with low voltage and an agreed supply power greater than 25 kVA and up to 250 kVA, and it will be made available as of April 1st 2026 to residential customers (regardless of supply and agreed power) and small businesses with power up to 25kVA. Customers of the Social Residential Tariff (KOT) will be also eligible to choose it.

Important: A certified smart meter from HEDNO is required to record and send hourly consumption data. If you are unsure about your meter, you can find out by emailing HEDNO.Supplier.Support@deddie.gr.

The difference is that the charge per kilowatt-hour (kWh) depends on the time period of consumption and changes every hour, whereas in the fixed tariff, the price per kWh remains constant for the entire duration of the supply contract (for Protergia programs, this is 12 months).

The difference is that the charge per kWh depends on the specific time during the day when electricity is consumed (it changes every hour), while in the yellow tariff, the charge reflects the overall fluctuation of the electricity price throughout the month and changes monthly.

The difference is that the orange tariff has a variable charge for specific time zones (and changes every hour), whereas in the green tariff, the price is announced on the 1st of each month and remains fixed for one month.

You will receive a daily message at 17:00 via Viber (or SMS if needed) with the maximum and minimum reference prices for the next day, plus suggestions on how to adjust your usage to benefit from lower prices. You will also be notified of hours when significant price increases are expected (above €0.18000/kWh as set by RAAEY). Shifting your consumption to low-price hours can reduce your supply charges and positively affect your bill

You can monitor hourly prices and forecasts for the next day through the Protergia App or via Protergia.gr by clicking here. If you do not see data in the tables, try again later as information is updated daily by 17:00.

No, there is no minimum contract duration. The program adapts to market conditions without requiring a minimum stay.

You gain full control over your energy and costs. Through the Protergia App, you can track market prices in real time and adjust your usage to take advantage of lower prices, reducing your bill. You have transparency, flexibility, and can plan your usage based on market conditions.

The Final Supply Price (€/kWh) is variable and calculated hourly for each day and month. It consists of:

  • Basic Supply Price (fixed €/kWh for all contract hours)
  • Dynamic Supply Price = Coefficient B × Reference Price (OTC/1000 €/kWh)

The coefficient B remains fixed throughout the contract.

Before choosing, you can access information on Protergia’s website by clicking here:
